At Black Diamonds — New York, we proudly serve customers around the world and are committed to resolving concerns with fairness, professionalism, and respect.
To maintain a safe and respectful environment for both our customers and team, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, including:
- Racist or discriminatory remarks
- Harassment or abusive language
- Threats toward staff or the company
- Libelous or knowingly false claims
We are always happy to assist with order concerns, delays, or questions. We simply ask that all communication remain respectful and professional.
Returns & Exchanges Policy
General Return Conditions:
Returns are accepted within 30 days of the delivery date.
Requests submitted beyond this timeframe will be declined.
All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Conditions include:
• RMA numbers are valid for 7 days
• Returns must be shipped within the 7-day RMA window
• The RMA number and original purchaser's name must appear on the return label
• Items returned without authorization will not be accepted
Returned items must:
• Be brand new and unused
• Have the original tag attached
• Be returned in original condition
• Not be resized, altered, or modified
Items showing signs of wear, resizing, alteration, scratches, damage, or other signs of use may be rejected or subject to a restocking fee.
The following must also be included:
• Original jewelry box
• Any promotional gifts received with the purchase
If promotional items are not returned, their retail value may be deducted from your refund or store credit.
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
For regular orders (non-custom), customers may request a return within 30 days of delivery if the item is brand new, unused, and in original condition. Returned items must follow the return conditions outlined below and require an approved RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Please note:
• The 30-day period begins on the delivery date
• Re-shipping an item does not extend the return window
• Some items are final sale and not eligible for return due to change of mind
Refund Method: Refunds are issued as store credit by default. Refunds to the original payment method may be available depending on the nature of the return and the conditions outlined in this policy.
Shipping Requirements for Returns
• If using your own shipping label, do not include Signature Confirmation.
• For security reasons, we cannot retrieve packages from carrier pickup locations. Packages returned with Signature Confirmation cannot be processed.
• All returns must include a tracking number.
Returns without an approved RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and valid tracking information will not be processed or eligible for a refund.
Free Return Label
Free return shipping labels are provided only for verified quality issues or company errors.
Return Limitations
Customers may return no more than one ring within six months. Any item returned that is not listed under the RMA number may be disposed of for safety reasons.
Product Representation Notice
Jewelry images on our website may be magnified or enlarged to show design details, craftsmanship, and stone settings. Actual product size may appear smaller in person due to this photographic enlargement. All measurements, stone sizes, and specifications are accurately listed in the product description. Customers are responsible for reviewing these specifications before placing an order.
Returns based solely on perceived size differences caused by magnified product photography will not be accepted unless the product description contained an error.
Gemstone Appearance Disclaimer
Natural and laboratory-created gemstones may show slight variations in color, clarity, and pattern due to lighting conditions, screen displays, and natural characteristics. These variations are normal and make each piece unique.
Craftsmanship Variations
Because jewelry production may involve multiple preparation processes, minor variations between pieces may occur. These differences are a natural part of jewelry production and are not considered defects.
Exchanges
Exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
Conditions include:
• RMA approval is required
• RMA numbers remain valid for 7 days
• The item must be returned unused with tags intact
For size changes or design exchanges:
A resizing or exchange fee of up to 25% may apply to cover labor and material costs. This fee may be reduced or waived at our discretion. Customers are responsible for return shipping when requesting exchanges. If an exchange involves a price difference, any refund will be issued as store credit only.
Free exchanges are provided only for company error or verified quality issues.
Items Not Eligible for Return or Exchange (Final Sale)
The following items are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for return or exchange due to a change of mind, as they are produced or prepared specifically for the order:
• Custom-made jewelry
• VIP orders
• Personalized or engraved items
• Special size or stone customizations
• Flash Sale or clearance items
• Gift sets, candles, eye masks
These items are prepared or produced specifically for each order and cannot be restocked. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect due to our error, our team will gladly review the issue and provide an appropriate resolution.
How to Request a Return & Exchanges
Do not return items to the address on your package, as this is a fulfillment address and may delay processing. All returns require approval. Please contact: support@blackdiamondsnewyork.com
Include:
• Order number or purchaser name
• Photos or a short video of the item
• Your request
Once approved, an RMA number and return instructions will be provided.
USA Orders
For returns originating within the United States, a free return label will be provided only for verified manufacturing defects or company errors.
International Orders
International customers are responsible for return shipping costs, except when the return is due to a company error. International shipments may also be subject to customs duties, taxes, or inspection delays imposed by the destination country, which are the responsibility of the recipient.
Bent Jewelry or Missing Stones (Within 30 Days)
If your jewelry arrives bent, damaged, or missing stones, you may request free repair within 30 days of delivery.
Items showing signs of:
• Alteration
• Heavy impact
• Improper use
• Modification
May require a repair quotation. Missing stones reported after 30 days may also require a repair quotation.
Faded Plating
Some jewelry pieces feature plated finishes, such as yellow gold, rose gold, rhodium, or black plating applied over a base metal (commonly silver). These surface coatings may naturally fade over time with normal wear. Solid gold jewelry does not fade, black plating applied over gold may wear over time. The longevity of plating varies and may last days, weeks, months, or years, depending on usage and care, and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

Refund Processing & Restocking Fee
Refunds to the original payment method may be approved at our discretion. For approved returns not related to craftsmanship issues or company error, a restocking fee of up to 25% may apply. This fee may be reduced or waived at our discretion, depending on the item and circumstances.
If a return request is misrepresented, including but not limited to inaccurate claims about the product condition, order details, or reason for return, a restocking fee of up to 35% may apply.
Additional conditions:
• Shipping fees are non-refundable
• Original shipping and insurance costs covered by Black Diamonds — New York may be deducted from the refund
Repair Services & Lead Times
We offer repair services for items outside warranty coverage. Repairs are subject to quotation.
Typical repair times range from 3–20 business days, depending on:
• Repair complexity
• Jewelry condition
• Availability of replacement materials
If we determine that a repair cannot be completed, the item will be returned and any paid repair service refunded.
Eye Masks & Candle Gift Sets
Due to sanitary and safety reasons, eye masks and candles cannot be returned or exchanged.
Designer Jewelry, Gothic Rings, Solid Gold & Custom Pieces
Items from the following categories are final sale:
• Designer Collection
• Till Death Do Us Part rings (coffin, bats, spiders, roses, and other unique gothic elements)
• Video Game-Inspired rings
• Solid gold and platinum jewelry
• Customized or personalized jewelry
This includes:
• Engravings
• Special sizes
• Stone color changes
• Plating modifications
If a return is exceptionally approved at our discretion, a restocking fee of up to 35% may apply. Because these pieces are custom-produced, resizing may require complete remanufacturing.
Delivery Confirmation Policy
Once a shipment is marked delivered by the carrier, responsibility for the package transfers to the recipient.
If a delivered package cannot be located, customers should:
- Check with household members or neighbors
- Contact the carrier
- Allow up to 48 hours for possible early delivery scans
Black Diamonds — New York will assist with carrier claims when possible, but cannot guarantee replacement for stolen packages after confirmed delivery.
Chargebacks & Fraud Policy
If you have concerns about your order, please contact our support team first so we can assist. Initiating a false chargeback or “friendly fraud” after receiving a product or during production may have legal consequences.
Black Diamonds — New York actively disputes fraudulent chargebacks, including:
• Claims made before contacting support
• Claims made after confirmed delivery
• Claims contradicting production timelines or order confirmations
Our goal is always to resolve concerns directly with customers whenever possible.
Military & Affordability Wedding Ring Program
We proudly offer complimentary wedding rings to qualifying U.S. military service members, first responders, and individuals facing financial hardship. If you believe you may qualify, please contact our team for more information.
Our Craftsmanship and Processing Times
Many of our jewelry pieces are made-to-order or individually prepared after purchase to ensure quality and attention to detail. Depending on the design, the preparation process may involve steps such as:
• CAD renderings
• Wax mold creation
• Gemstone sourcing
• Skilled stone setting
• Polishing and finishing
Some pieces come from our curated collections and established designs, which may not require new CAD development. However, each order is still carefully prepared, finished, and inspected after purchase before shipment.
Production Times
Production typically ranges from 2–20 business days, depending on the design and selected specifications. Production timelines may vary based on:
• Design complexity
• Gemstone sourcing
• Workshop capacity
• Seasonal demand
Production timelines are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates. If you require your jewelry by a specific date, please contact our team before placing your order. Orders without a confirmed timeline will follow our standard production schedule.
Made-to-Order & Order Preparation Notice
Many jewelry pieces are individually prepared after purchase, including made-to-order and customized items. Because materials and labor may be allocated shortly after an order is placed, orders cannot be cancelled once production or preparation has begun.
