All are different from one another but all have one thing in common- PREVENTATIVE CARE. Yes, sis, ya herrrddd! You gotta polish them pretty!

Let's tackle the most asked question about 925 silver rings.

HOW TO PREVENT YOUR 925 SILVER RING FROM FADING OR TARNISHING?

It's simple. KEEP. THEM. DRY.

  1. Store them in a dry place. Do not store in a humid place (moisture is not good for any jewelry)
  2. Store them separately in a soft cloth or jewelry box to prevent scratches and tangles.
  3. Avoid exposing your jewelry to harsh chemicals, such as household cleaners or chlorine, as these can damage the finish and gemstones.
  4. Take your jewelry off before engaging in any physical activities, like sports or household chores, as this can prevent unnecessary wear and tear.
  5. Clean your jewelry regularly with a silver polishing cloth or using a mild soap and warm water. Gently scrub the pieces with a soft brush and rinse thoroughly.
  6. Schedule regular check-ups with our jewelry specialists who can inspect and clean your jewelry professionally.

If you follow these simple steps, your jewelry will last you a lifetime.

KEEP IN MIND

Extra care is recommended for jewelry with rose gold, yellow gold, or black gold plating as the plating or coating will fade over time.

Proper storage requires mandatory precautions so store all the pieces separately. In case you are storing earrings, make sure to store them individually in separate containers or bags.

NO- NO

Keep them away from beauty products like moisturizers, hair spray, deodorants, perfumes, etc.

Store them away with boxes that have soft cloth covers like velvet jewelry boxes. These are proven to be the best storage for any 925 silver jewelry. Velvet cloth prevents moisture formation and maintains a good temperature for stored jewelry. These are also super cute for personalization.

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR 925 SILVER RINGS

When it comes to care, cleaning is equally important to make sure you keep your ring safe. We all have heard of many different methods of cleaning silver but let's go basic!

DIY SILVER CLEANING SOLUTION

  1. Hot water + baking soda + salt (all time favorite!)
  2. Water + white vinegar + baking soda
  3. Toothpaste + soft bristle toothbrush
  4. Mild soap + soft bristle brush

Choose one above. Soak your silver for 5 minutes. Polish and clean it with a soft bristle toothbrush. Dry your silver with a soft cloth or silver cleaning cloth. Then BAM! Your ring is clean again.

If you don't want to mess with a DIY solution, make sure you keep a silver cleaning cloth, cleaning solution, and silver polishing solution handy to make cleaning easier every time. It will save you from all the effort of taking it to the jewelry shop again and again to get it professionally cleaned.

HOW OFTEN?

Daily or weekly. It all depends on how often you use your jewelry. If you wear them daily like I do, then you’ll have to clean them daily as well.

If you have any vintage pieces or rings that you have not used in a while, make sure to take them out as well and clean them.

EVENTS TO TAKE OFF YOUR 925 SILVER RINGS

I know it’s hard to take these babies off our fingers but you gotta do it once in a while. To make sure your silver ring does not get dull, take them off when you are doing the following:

  • Hot showers
  • Beaches
  • Saunas
  • Getting any beauty treatment
  • When cooking or preparing food
  • Gardening
  • Swimming
  • While doing your makeup or applying lotion
  • During other household chores
  • Gym/Lifting weights

Although it might seem to be a whole lot of stuff to do to take care of your 925 silver ring, it's actually very simple and easy.

 FACTS

Silver itself is a soft metal and can’t be used alone to make it into a ring or jewelry. Instead, it is mixed with some hard metal, like copper. However, always look for the 925 or 92.5 silver marking. This is commonly referred to as sterling silver. This means that you are getting an alloy that contains 92.5 or 92 percent silver in it. While it's always smart to look for the marking or 925 stamp, make sure you are buying your ring from a trusted store. I bet you’ve seen a whole lot of 925 silver rings being sold all over the net at such low prices, just be careful and do your research. Cheap silver will tarnish and turn your finger green.

Alright, I don’t want to bore you any further. If you follow these recommended tips, sterling silver care is incredibly easy. These simple methods will surely help you prolong the longevity, sparkles, and beauty of your rings for years to come.
